Hinkley Point C Site Experience

One of our newest team members, Chris Wonnacott, is a Graduate Engineer who recently joined Craddys fresh from completing his MEng in Civil and Structural Engineering at Coventry University. Chris has been settling into his new role and spent last week working remotely at Hinkley Point C with the Turnball Infrastructure & Utilities team, gaining valuable site experience in the process.

Here are a few words from Chris about his experience.

“Spending the week at Hinkley Point C was a really great experience. Seeing the sheer size of the site and all the works that were happening simultaneously made me realise just how big and complex the whole operation is! My time was generally spent designing temporary structures, such as cable gantries and pipework supports, to serve site infrastructure and keep things running smoothly. Working on fast paced projects like this helped me appreciate just how much detailed planning goes into keeping a site of this scale running”.
