On International Women’s Day 2022, we want to take the time to recognise all of the incredible women that work at Craddys and get to know one of our Structural Engineers, Cristina Caglioni a little bit better.
As a business, we are very aware of the need to promote and celebrate diverse STEM role models in the construction industry. For those new to following us, STEM is the combination of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths and offers many career opportunities
Becoming an Engineer is just one of those opportunities and Cristina has been working at Craddys for seven years now in the role of Structural Engineer.
Cristina grew up in Italy. At school Cristina was passionate about maths and decided to continue this passion by studying Engineering at Roma Tre University. After graduating, she spent six years working in Italy before moving to the UK and joining the Craddys team in 2016. Since joining, Cristina has excelled in her role, progressing through the business and developing new skills along the way, including the use of Revit and BIM modelling.
Cristina particularly enjoys the design side of engineering and says her favourite thing about her job is finding solutions to complex problems and then coordinating them into the project collaboratively with the other design team members. She loves all types of projects but particularly enjoys working on residential developments that benefit the local communities they are provided within.
Here at Craddys, we are always looking to expand our team of talented and passionate Engineers. If Cristina’s story has inspired you, we have several roles available at the moment and would love to hear from anyone wishing to progress their career at any level.
