We were thrilled to play a part in the sponsorship and participation of the Wesport – Sport Management Our City Cup 2025 football tournament as part of Bristol Refugee Festival for the fourth year.
This year’s tournament was a huge success, with 13 teams attending from all over the South West. Team Craddys started strong and finished top of their group before eventually being knocked out in the quarter finals by a strong Easton Cowboys side. Easton Cowboys went on to progress to the final, but it was Woodlands FC that clinched the victory and lifted the trophy! 🏆
Bristol Refugee Festival is an established charity organisation who run cultural and educational events, bringing together communities from across Bristol and beyond to connect, share and celebrate. Their aim is to celebrate the contribution that refugees and asylum seekers make to the city, create a better understanding of why people seek sanctuary, help overcome misconceptions and promote successful community cohesion.
The annual football tournament, which has been running since 2011, plays an important role in this and we were delighted to support the event by providing the venue hire for the day.
All in all, it was a fantastic day. A big thank you to Wesport and all involved for organising a great tournament.
