Green Light for restoration of UK’s largest surviving cluster of Victorian gas holders

Great to see Craddys mentioned in the Construction Enquirer, with the green light being given to restore the UK’s largest surviving cluster of Victorian gas holders. This project will create 2,100 new homes within the heritage site, over 2,800 on-site jobs during construction, 30,000 sq ft of new commercial space and will make a £4.4m contribution towards local skills and employment programmes.

It has been almost seven years since Colin Davidson first visited the site in East London in 2018 and we have been closely involved in the plans to reuse the cast iron gas holder structures, built between 1870 and 1882.

This is a significant milestone and we are looking forward to working closely with the Berkeley Group Plc‘s St William division to realise the plans for the listed structures.
