Craddys have been involved with a huge host of NHS and private healthcare projects, including specialist wards and one of the largest and most ambitious PFI healthcare projects in the UK.
We have a detailed knowledge of specialist design requirements on healthcare buildings (eg. HTM / HBN) which has led to several commissions as Technical Advisors to Healthcare Trusts and appointment on healthcare frameworks.
We are particularly skilled in providing economic, cost effective designs with flexibility, suitable for the ever changing healthcare needs of the end users.
Involved with the project from preferred bidder stage through to completion and handover, Craddys provided advice on a wide range of issues including the proposed renal facility, and specialist drainage considerations in relation to reject renal water.
The scheme involved new construction within a functioning hospital site. Innovative foundation solutions to accommodate existing site services and also to deal with asbestos contamination, which was retained on site thus minimising clean-up costs to the Trust.
Refurbishment of existing historical Beaufort House Building to provide diagnosis and aftercare support center.
Civil and structural engineers appointed by the Trust to develop the scheme for the new Pathology Building. Retained by the Trust as technical advisors through the construction works.
