GROUND MODELLING

The rapid increase in landfill tax since its introduction in 1996 makes off-site disposal of construction arisings financially crippling to any significant engineering project. We use the latest 3D software plus our significant experience of ground modelling to develop schemes to maximise the reuse of construction arisings on site. Ground modelling and cut and fill modelling is the backbone of these assessments, ensuing that there is a volumetric balance of these activities. The assessment is optimised through detailed knowledge of how the materials will behave during excavation and re-compaction, along with an understanding of specialist techniques that can be used to modify unsuitable material so that it can be used as engineered fill.

Industrial Recycling Centre

Provision of ground modeling, flood risk and drainage information for planning applications for four separate mounding projects, to provide large elevated sustainable ponds that designed to collect rainwater and provide it as a resource to the recycling site.
