Client: Cardiff City Stadium
Craddys were responsible for design and detailing associated with the new precast concrete panelling for the iconic new Cardiff City stadium. Home to Cardiff City Football Club and the Cardiff Blues rugby team, this development provided a new home for Welsh sporting teams befitting of the capital city. Craddys undertook detailed design of bespoke bracketry to support façade panels and internal precast elements, along with providing detailed fabrication drawings for construction.
Client: Ashton Gate Stadium
Craddys are responsible for undertaking annual structural inspections in accordance with the Green Guide “Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds” and providing advice on planned maintenance to satisfy local authority licencing requirements. Some of the more interesting aspects of inspection involved specialist rope access contractors, used to visually inspect and test high level steelwork, along with chemical testing of precast concrete elements to ascertain rate of carbonation and longevity.
Client: Three Rivers District Council

Extensive refurbishment and extension of existing leisure centre to provide new 25m swimming pool, gym area, fitness studios, sports hall and community space. The swimming pool structure was of particular interest as the existing long span glulam beams were restored and re-used. Additionally, the sports hall retained the existing precast concrete portal frames, which were justified for over roofing proposals.

Client: Ludlow Race Club Ltd
This racecourse has records of races dating back to 1725; parts of the structures were built in the Edwardian era, so is a mixture of new and (strengthened) old. This project involves providing a structural risk assessment report and maintenance schedule for the stands. The report comments on the structural condition of elements and records details of testing and/or remedial works that have been conducted, whilst the schedule details and provides timescales in which elements would need increased levels of inspection and maintenance.
