Client: Halsall
Value: £5m – £10m
A 66 bedroom, 3 storey, state of the art care home. Structural and civil services included the design of superstructure in masonry with additional steelwork e.g. large balcony; substructure design included the use of trench fill foundations taking into account the protected historic trees around the site.
Levels had to be carefully considered due to the sloping site; retaining walls were required to ensure the gardens could be kept to acceptable gradients for use by the residents. Craddys also undertook the temporary works design.

An 88 bedroom development split between Care Facility Wings and a Reablement Centre, with on-site support facilities and communal areas. Craddys carried out the civil and structural design for the building and associated infrastructure. The development included a feature bridge at the entrance to the Reablement Centre.

A new-build development providing 60, high-quality one and two-bed flats with additional extra care facilities and external landscaped areas, built to BREEAM ‘Very Good’ standard. To promote sustainability the garden room was built with a green roof.

49 high quality purpose built apartments within a community setting, consisting of 8 one-bedroom and 41 two-bedroom dwellings.

48 self-contained and modern one and two-bedroom apartments for rent, with care and support services based on-site and a range of communal facilities including an open plan resident’s lounge, dining area and café.

60 unit very sheltered housing scheme. Craddys undertook the civil structural design of the building superstructure, foundations, drainage network and associated highways work.

This development provided 74 one and two bed apartments split over two curved buildings creating a crescent shaped street. 46 extra care apartments and 28 over 55s in total, all apartments were designed to meet code for sustainable homes level 3, lifetime homes and secured by design standards.

The development of 80 one and two bed extracare facility plus 20 bed assisted living unit. The focal point of the building features large communal balconies on each floor and an external hardwood decorative feature roof truss.

The build of 43 units across 1 and 2 bed apartments on a prominent location close to the harbour. Onsite facilities include a cafe, communal lounge and dining facilities.

A new build 60 extracare units and 10 sheltered accommodation units with associated facilities. The building is a 3 storey masonry construction with precast planks and cantilevered balcony units utilising an internal steel frame.
