These headquarters are situated in Birdcage Walk, Westminster, London, only a short distance from the Palace of Westminster where we are engaged in a rolling program of roof renovation, façade retention and refurbishment work.
Site wide redevelopment of Aldi UK HQ. Redevelopment includes two substantial office extensions, internal mezzanine construction, new 6 storey split carpark, showpiece glazed entrance, significant drainage and highways alterations.
This BREEAM Excellent two story office block was a winner of a British Council for Offices (BCO) award. Craddys used technologies such as passive stack ventilation, rain-water harvesting, photovoltaic cells along with a building structure designed closely to the “Green Guide” which incorporated high thermal mass and building orientation/fenestration to achieve this accolade.
We are responsible for the extension and refurbishment of an existing commercial building, providing it with totally new front façade and an upgrade to the rear façade. Furthermore, this project saw the addition of a 4th floor and a roof terrace at 5th floor level, by cantilevering the floor plate to the rear of the building.
The conversion of 2 historic single storey steel framed warehouses into modern 2 storey office facilities, catering for up to 600 people. Craddys were appointed to develop the design through to construction status, responsibilities included production of drawings and specifications for substructure and superstructure design and below ground drainage design.
