On Sunday, Craddys took part in the annual Our City Community Cup in Bristol. The event is a long standing tradition in the Bristol Refugee Festival, with our very own Christos Sibanda being one of the event founders.
The football tournament is a fantastic day where local teams are assembled, some of which are entirely made up of refugees and asylum seekers, with the goal of competing in the tournament, whilst also celebrating the diversity of Bristol. It has come a long way from its humble beginnings, with twenty teams partaking in this year’s edition!
Recognising its importance to the community, Craddys have been proud sponsors of the tournament for many years, including this one.
After finally prioritising footballing skills as part of our employee interview process, Craddys managed to string a winning team with their new recruits and finally win some silverware by winning the Plate Playoff! 🏆
It was a fantastic day out for everyone, and we look forward to renewing our commitment to diversity and inclusion in our local communities and beyond for many more years to come! A massive thank you to Wesport – Sport Management, Lockleaze Sports Centre, and everyone who took part in making this such a successful tournament! See you all next year.
